We allow 1 dog per reservation. Sorry, NO PUPPIES. Dog must be friendly and approved by host .Dog must be leashed at all times and never at large on the property. Pets should never be left behind unsupervised. Pets should be kept off all furniture. Dog bed available when requested. Pet fee of $20 a night added at booking time. Extra fees could apply if any pet rules are broken.

Dock is aimed to be installed from early July to early September. It is dependant on water temperature when we install and remove. If there is a storm or heavy rain in the forecast, the dock may have to be removed. Therefore, it is never 100% guaranteed

PAYMENT
Reservations paid by credit card require 50% at time of booking. Fees for taxes, cleaning and pets will be added to the published rate prior to check out. You will be charged a 6% credit card fee, which is substantially less than booking fees associated with platforms like Airbnb & VRBO. To avoid payment fees we also accept E-Transfers with 100% at time of booking.

HOUSE POLICIES
No smoking or vaping, parties or large gatherings. 5 guests maximum ( exception for infant). No additional guests are to sleep in tents or trailers. We consider over 8 people on the property at any given time to be a gathering and a violation of our house rules.
WINTER STAYS
It is essential to have a vehicle with all wheel drive during the months of December- April. The lane going down to the cottage is a dirt road with a step hill that you may not be able to climb back up if you do not.

We are located 25 minutes from Sydney. If you are looking to do a lot of exploring and activities around the Island during your stay, please make sure our location is a good fit for your itinerary.

Sydney Airport 35 minutes
PLEASE NOTE: The Cedar and The Pine cottage are neighboring properties on completely separate lots. There is approximately 160 ft between the two cottages with a tree line in between. They do share an entry lane to access both places. NO amenities are shared between the two cottages. If you are staying at The Cedar, you will see vehicles coming and going to the pine cottage, as the lane to access it runs behind the Cedar cottage.
